We are a British couple who moved to France in July 2004, to follow our dream of being self sufficient. Between us we have many and varied skills as you can see from the profiles below.

Fiona Foster is a Degree Qualified Animal care lecturer. For 12 years, prior to the move to France, Fiona was the Head of the animal care department at a successful college in the south west of England, teaching people of all ages the skills of caring for animals.
Specialist subjects include, animal behaviour and training, animal handling and first aid for animals and humans. Fiona holds a current First aid in the workplace qualification. Dog training qualifications Include: a second with honours from the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers, and an instructors certificate form the Anglo American Dog Training Academy.
For the past 2 years Fiona has been a volunteer at a local animal refuge, covering staff development, dog assessments and we also foster, train and re-home the refuge’s puppies and problem dogs.
Fiona is police checked, to enable her to work with children. |

For 17 years Alan Foster served in the British army. For the last few years of his military career, Alan taught the skills of his profession, to new soldiers.
On Leaving the Army Alan's first civilian role was as a game warden for the lions and tigers at Longleat safari park. Alan has over 20 years experience of dealing with domestic species of animals and has a keen interest in wildlife and has rescued /rehabilitated many wild animals. Alan's main roles on the farm are designing and assembling purposeful animal accommodation as well as being the primary stockman.
Alan has also been police checked, to enable him to work with children.
